Our school is a specialist independent school for students aged between 11 to 19 years who have or who are experiencing significant barriers to learning, or who cannot access mainstream education for whatever reason.
As Alchemy School is an Independent School it is not legally required to have a governing body as the proprietors are held directly responsible by the Department for Education via Ofsted. However to enable the school to be transparent and to be challenged the Advisory Committee was formed to ensure the school is operating legally and in the best interest of the children that attend the provision. It is comprised of local stake holder schools, who place students with us, and by parents.
