Fun times at the
Alchemy street party celebration
5th May 2023
Alchemy students joined in the coronation celebrations a day early on Friday 5th of May. Each Alchemy centre put on their own street party to mark the historic occasion of the coronation of our new King.
Centres had prepared students by allowing them to learn about the unique nature of the monarchy in British society, something that makes us different than many other countries. Students were taught about the constitutional nature of our monarchy and how this fits with our parliamentary democratic system of government.
Once the British values lessons were competed even the rain, at Sittingbourne and Gillingham, couldn’t stop the fun. All students had the chance to dress in red, white and blue to mark the occasion.
A good time was had by all
I am excited about the coronation because we get a new king. I have never had a king before.
